The Outback Hat is a high-crowned, wide-brimmed, leather hat that is worn on the player's head. When equipped, the Outback Hat covers the top of the player's head.
The Outback Hat provides some resistance against the elements.
Outback Hat can be repaired by and/or broken down into a Repair Kit (Leather Items).
Outback Hats are usually found in residential areas, or inside clothing stores.

- Outback Hats are meant for the outdoors. They keep the sun and rain while remaining stylish and ageless in an "I know what I'm doing in the woods" kind of way. Many a time have new spawns been amazed by professional-looking characters in their Outback Hats and pigs in the arms, running who knows where.
Outback Hats can be found all over Orca Island, though a safe bet would be near the farming town of the southern areas. Hats like these aren't worn out of necessity, but as clear fashion statements. The statement is: "It's never too late to look like a cattle wrangler, even after the world has ended."
